Materials
• 2.2mm crochet hook
• Basic materials (stuffing, tapestry needle, scissors, stitch marker, glue)
• 10mm safety eyes
• Brown, mustard and green embroidery thread
• Milky thermoline
• Tube of hot glue (to support the neck)
• Pastel chalk and brush (blush)
THREAD COLORS
Black, white, brown, beige, moss green, light green, burnt orange, gold.
Abbreviations:
MR: Magic ring
Ch: chain
Sc: single crochet
Dc: double crochet
Slst: slip stitch
Inc: increase
Dec: decrease
BLO: only in the back loops
FLO: only in the front loops
hdc: half double crochet

Legs
With black yarn:
1) 8sc in MR
2) 8inc [16]
3) (1sc, 1inc) x8 [24]
4) BLO: 24sc
5) 4sc, 8dec, 4sc [16]
5) 16sc
Change to white:
6) BLO: 16slst
7) BLO: 16sc
8) 16sc
Change to brown:
9) BLO: 16 slst
10) BLO: 16sc

Fasten off off the first leg. Make enough single crochets in the second leg to reach the inner side; we will start the body from there.
Before that, embroider green stripes in the area of rows 6 to 8, and embroider a buckle on the shoe with mustard yarn.
Body
Change 2 ch, and join the legs: (remember to position the color changes backwards)
12) 16sc in the first leg, 2sc in the chain loops, 16sc in the second leg, 2sc in the chain loops [36]

Change to black yarn:

Change to white:

Change to beige:

Insert a tube of hot glue in the neck, and finish with reverse MR.
Embroider the buckle of the belt area.
Arms
With the beige line:
1) 8 sc in AM
2 and 3) 8 sc 2 rows
Switch to moss green:
4) BLO: 8scx
5) BLO: 8bp
6 to 13) 8 sc 8 rows
Finish with inverted MR if you want to articulate the arms, or finish with 4 sc joining the two sides of the piece if you want to sew.
Join/sew them on row 25 of the body, aligned on the sides.
Coat
With moss green, make 29 ch.
Skip the first one:
1) 28 sc
2) 3 sc, 4 ch, skip 4 sts, 12 sc, 4 ch, skip 4 sts, 4 sc [28]
3 to 6) 28 sc 4 rows
7) 14 sc, 1 inc, 13 sc [29]
8) 14 sc, 1 inc, 14 sc [30]
9 to 11) 30 sc 3 rows
Make single crochet stitches all around the piece, and fasten off.
Head
With beige yarn:
1) 6sc in MR
2) 6inc [12]
Make increasing rows until
9) (7sc, 1inc) x6 [54]
10 to 20) 54sc 11 rows
Make decreasing rows until
27) (1sc, 1dec) x6 [12]
Place safety eyes between rows 16 and 17. Fasten off.
With the same beige line,
make the ears:
1) 6 sc in AM
Pull the thread and leave excess for sewing.
Sew between rows 18 and 20, 5 stitches away from the eyes.
Embroider the nose between rows 18 and 19. Embroider the eyes however you prefer; use the reference image as a guide.
Tie
With the green yarn, make 16 ch.
Skip the first one:
1) 1slst, 1sc, 4hdc, 1slst, 1dc, and go up another 8 ch.
Fasten off. Wrap around the amigurumi’s neck, tying at the back.
Hair
With burnt orange yarn:
1) 6sc in MR
2) 6inc [12]
Make increasing rows until
9) (7sc, 1inc) x6 [54]
10 to 18) 54sc – 9 rows
Close with 1slst in the next stitch.
Make the strands:
1 to 27) Ch 7. Start in the second chain from the hook: 5hdc. Skip the next stitch and make 1slst in the next. 27 strands
Sew or glue the hair to the head. Take two strands and glue them next to the ears, leave the rest loose.
Beard
With the burnt orange yarn, make 21ch. Skip the first one:
1) 20sc
Make 1 picot stitch + 2slst all around the beard strip, to finish it off.
Glue it to the amigurumi’s face, 3 rows below the nose.
Top Hat
With the moss green line:
1) 6 sc in AM
2) 6 inc [12]
Make increasing rows until
9) (7sc, 1inc) x6 [54]
10) 54 sc in the third loop
11 to 16) 54 sc 6 rows
Switch to the black line:
17 to 20) 54 sc 3 rows
Switch to moss green:
21) FLO: (1sc, 1inc) x27 [81]
22 and 23) 81 sc 2 rows
Finish. Apply thermoline to the inside of the hat.
Embroider a buckle in the black thread area.
Cauldron
With black yarn:
1) 6sc in MR
2) 6inc [12]
Make increasing rows until

Finish by making lace stitch (1sc + 1ch) all around.
Place gold yarn inside the cauldron to simulate gold.
