We make a tightening: we mark where the eyes will be, insert the needle to the right of the eye and bring it out to the left and repeat this several times on each side, then we make a tightening a little between the eyes, once there and back, as in the photo.

Ears (2 pieces)
1st row: 4 sc in KA (4)
2-3rd row: 4 sc
4th row: 4 inc (8)

4 row: behind the back wall of loops 18 sc

We insert eyelets into the places where we have the tension straps. The author’s eyelets are 14 mm; don’t use larger ones. They will ruin the overall look.

Sew the nose and ears to the head. Embroider the mouth, and on the nose, embroider two vertical stripes a shade darker than the main color. Also embroider the eyelashes and eyebrows. Use white thread to highlight the side of the eye, making it more expressive.

Legs (2 pieces)
Knit in pink.
Row 1: 6 sc in KA (6)
Row 2: 6 inc (12)
Row 3: 12 sc
Row 4: (1 sc, inc)*6 (18)
Rows 5-10: 18 sc

We make 2 ch on the second leg and connect the two legs with one single crochet.

We continue knitting the body in a circle.
Rows 11-15: 42 sc — two legs with 18 sc and 3 sc between the legs on both sides (42)
Row 16: 7 sc, dec, 1 sc, dec, 1 sc, dec, 14 sc, dec, 1 sc, dec, 1 sc, dec, 7 sc (36)

Row 28: 22 sc
Row 29: 1 sc, (2 sc, dec)*5, 1 sc (17)
Row 30: 17 sc

Handles (2 pieces)
1st row: 6 sc in KA (6)
2nd row: (1 sc, inc)*3 (9)
3-13th row: 9 sc

Lightly stuff the handles.
Knit 4 sc through both sides, closing the opening. Leave a tail for sewing.
Sew the handles on row 28.
We make tightenings, as in the photo, on both the lower and upper legs.

Tail:
Knit a single crochet into the body, then cast on 15 ch, and from the second loop from the hook, knit 14 single crochets. Fasten off and cut. This creates a curl.

Skirt
You can knit it in any color.
Row 1: Crochet a single crochet stitch around the circle, passing it over the tail.

2nd row: cast on 2 ch, 4 dc in one loop, 1 sc, ch and alternate like this until the end of the row.
Row 3: Also make 2 ch (ch only at the beginning of the second row, then without them), 4 dc (not in one loop, but 1 dc in each loop) in the place where the “depression” is, make 1 sc and ch, and repeat until the end of the row.
Push the tail between the rows.

Once you’ve finished knitting the skirt, make the suspenders. The author uses chain stitches and a cross

Sew the head to the body.
Shade the nose around the circle where we knitted the back wall, shade the ears, a little around the eyes, and, of course, the cheeks. The author also shaded the drawstrings on the legs and drew a belly button. You can decorate the head with a bow if desired.
