Fasten off and leave a massive tail (at least 20 inches) for coiling and sewing. Stuff the tip (Rounds 1-15) very firmly, then progressively stuff lighter as you reach the open end.
Assembly
First, position the Eyelids over the top hemisphere of the White Eyeballs. Sew them down securely, ensuring the rim of the eyelid sits just above the safety eye to create that sleepy, heavy gaze.
Next, sew the top of each Eyestalk to the bottom-center of the assembled eyes. Make sure the connection is robust.
Sew the bottom of the Eyestalks to the top opening of the Main Body (Round 18). Place them side-by-side, perfectly centered.
Sew the bottom of the Main Body (Rounds 1-3) directly to the top center of the Ruffled Foot Base. Ensure it sits flush and stable.
Finally, physically roll the Coiled Shell into a tight spiral, starting from the narrow tip. Use the long yarn tail to sew completely through the layers, locking the spiral in place. Sew the open base of the shell to the back half of the Main Body, resting it gently against the Ruffled Foot.
