Don’t stuff the tree too tightly with padding polyester. Otherwise, it will look like a round sausage đŸ™‚ I use tweezers for stuffing. Knit the bottom: Row 1: Join 4 ch loops into a ring, knit 6 sts into the ring. Row 2: Knit 2 sc into each loop of the previous row = 12 sts. Row 3: Add loops through one loop = 18 sts. Row 4: Add loops through two loops = 24 sts.
Without cutting the thread, attach the base to the tree base and join the two pieces with slip stitches. You can secure the thread at the base, cut it, leaving a tail, and, inserting it into a large-eyed needle, sew the base to the tree base. Use the same thread you used for knitting to sew up the holes in the branches. Add stuffing to the branches if needed. You can decorate the finished tree with beads, buttons, or add a loop for hanging. If you knit 125 meters of 50-gram cotton, the tree will be 12.5 cm high .
