Finished Size: Each pot: ~11–12 cm tall (4.5 in), Rose: ~20 cm tall (8 in), Cactus heart: ~15–16 cm tall (6 in), V and e: ~15–18 cm tall

Petals:

Stem (Green)

ch 30, join to form ring.

Work sc in rounds until ~12 cm long. Insert floral wire and stuff lightly.

Leaves (Green, make 2 small + 2 medium)

Small: ch 6, sc, hdc, 2 dc, hdc, sc back down. FO.

Medium: ch 8, sc, hdc, 4 dc, hdc, sc back down. FO.

Sew onto stem at two different heights.

Insert stem firmly into brown soil in pot.

Cactus Heart (the “O”)

Body (Green, worked as one piece – 3D)

Split for domes:

Stuff very firmly while shaping into heart.

Decoration

With white yarn, embroider small V-shaped mini hearts evenly across the cactus.

Insert base into pot soil.

Letter V (Pink)

Stuff both tubes with wire inside. Sew together at base to form V with rounded hearts on top. Insert into pot soil.

Letter E (Red, cursive lowercase “e”)

Tube

FO with long tail.

Shaping

Insert flexible wire through tube.

Bend into lowercase cursive “e” shape.

Stitch in place as needed. Insert base into pot soil.

Assembly

Place all pieces into separate pots with soil. Ensure wires are pushed firmly into soil for stability. Stitch or glue bases for extra hold if displaying permanently.

Final Notes

Scatter rose petals around for a romantic display. Add blush detail with pink yarn to the cactus if desired. Arrange pots side by side to spell out LOVE with the rose as “L,” cactus as “O,” pink “V,” and red “e.”
